Jan 2024

Do you want to study for an IT degree but don’t quite meet the necessary maths requirements? This course is for you!

About the Bridging Programme

Our maths bridging course is an intensive mathematics course with an assessment on the final day. It gives students who did not meet the necessary maths requirements to study one of our degrees a second opportunity to do so.

You Should Do This Course If:

  • You did not take pure maths but would like to enrol for one of our degree programmes.
  • You received (or are worried that you will receive) less than 50% for pure maths on the NSC but would like to enrol for one of our degree programmes.
  • You did not (or are worried that you will not) achieve a bachelor’s endorsement on your NSC but would like to enrol for one of our degree programmes.

Qualifying to Study for an IT Degree

Students who achieve the following marks for the course will be allowed to study the applicable degree programme:

50% to study for the Bachelor of Information Technology (NQF 7).

70% to study for the Bachelor of Computing (NQF 8).

Registered with Universities South Africa (USAF), Belgium Campus can use the results from the course to apply for exemption on behalf of students who would like to study one of our degrees but did not achieve the necessary endorsement.
