Improve your Mathematic thinking with our bridging Course
Date to be confirmed
Want to gain a head start with programming by sharpening your mathematics skills? Or perhaps you want to do one of our degree programmes but didn’t meet the necessary maths requirements? This course is for you!
At Belgium Campus iTversity we believe in helping our students reach their full potential which is why we host a Mathematics Bridging Course at the beginning of each year.
About the Bridging Programme
Our Mathematics Bridging Programme provides students who do not meet the necessary maths requirements (50% or more for pure maths on the NSC) to do one of our degree programmes, with a second opportunity to do so.
Registered with Universities South Africa (USAF), Belgium Campus is able to use the results from the programme to apply for exemption on behalf of students who would like to study one of our degrees.
The following results apply for the following degree programmes:
Bachelor of Information Technology NQF level 7: 50% or more
Bachelor of Computing NQF level 8: 70 % or more
You should do the bridging programme if:
- You did not take pure maths but would like to enrol for one of our degree programmes.
- You did not achieve a Bachelor endorsement on your NSC or are worried that you will not achieve this endorsement.
- You would like to sharpen your mathematics skills before starting your IT qualification with us (Regardless of the IT qualification you choose, a solid maths foundation is extremely advantageous).
How to Register
* All students are required to pay a R500 attendance deposit. Students with an attendance of 85% or more will have this amount reallocated towards their tuition fees at the end of the course. Students who sign up for the course but do not achieve an 85% attendance rate will forfeit their attendance deposit.
If you would like to register for the bridging programme, you can do so on the applicant portal by checking the applicable checkbox on your application form.
