AI-Enhanced Career Counseling and Job Interview Simulation Platform
Project Definition:
The objective of this project is to design and implement an AI-powered career counseling and job interview simulation platform for IT students using Meta Quest 3 VR Headsets. The platform will provide a virtual reality environment where students can engage in simulated job interviews with AI-powered avatars, receive personalized feedback, and practice essential skills like communication, body language, and answering questions. By leveraging AI and VR, this platform aims to provide students with a safe, immersive, and interactive environment to hone their interview skills.
Research Goals:
– Investigate how VR can be used in job interview training: Understanding the effectiveness of VR simulations in comparison to traditional mock interviews.
– Analyze AI algorithms for personalized feedback: Assessing the accuracy and usefulness of AI-driven feedback (e.g., assessing communication skills, body language, tone, and response quality).
– Evaluate student engagement and learning outcomes: Measuring how the virtual interview environment impacts students’ preparedness, confidence, and interview performance.
– Explore the role of natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis: Understanding how AI can detect nuances in speech, tone, and body language to provide meaningful feedback to students.
Methodology:
– Requirements Gathering: Identifying user needs (IT students), desired features, and technical specifications.
– System Design: Designing the platform architecture, VR environment, and AI feedback algorithms.
– Development: Creating the VR platform using Unity (for VR integration), AI algorithms for feedback, and Meta Quest 3 SDK for hardware compatibility.
Testing: Conducting usability testing with a focus group of IT students and gathering feedback on the platform’s usability, realism, and effectiveness.
= Deployment: Launching the final platform for widespread student use, providing training and support.
